Retreats

FRANCE

Provence (best season May, June, September)

Marion Geiger’s husband, Fabrice Orengo de Lamazière, who is a French born in Paris, owns an old farmhouse from the XIIIth century in the South of France (northern edge of Provence) in a protected medieval hamlet, Suze sur Crest, surrounded by vineyards, lavender and sunflower fields. Marion Geiger spends every summer there and also paints, as the light is so superb and there is everything about the subjects to be found. The closest town is Crest and the closest city is Valence with a TGV station. From the house many beautiful areas can be reached, by foot or by car.

The home has 5 bedrooms and art guests could occupy 3 of these. We can also use another medieval home with 3 more bedrooms right close by.

Presently Marion's mother-in-law is living in the home. She is a fantastic French lady and knows the area very well as she has lived there for many years since she decided to retire from Paris. She would be the perfect hosts for the non-painters, going to markets or places of interest, cooking...

There is also an art equipment shop and an online ordering facility, so each artist doesn’t need to bring all equipment (like canvasses and liquids etc).

Art retreat: minimum 6 guests, maximum 9 guests in 3 to 6 bedrooms for 7 nights on a full board basis including the art classes, local ground transport, all drinks, 2 lunches and 2 diners in restaurants but excluding art equipment and hard liquors.
